They can also go over your income, assets, credit, & sample property variables (for example, how much taxes & insurance you should expect) & do a preapproval for you, which is very helpful when you submit an offer.Check to see if your state (like New York) has a 1st time homebuyer program, if that is your situation.

I suggest you submit a claim to the title insurer, as soon as possible, the worst they can do is claim it's not a  covered matter.
