I am interested in house hacking, SFH, long term hold and possibly multi-family in the future.

Rent increase notice to all 10 tenants immediately. 60 days later, cash flow projected to $27k.

There is street access because it's a corner lot.This would be my first new contstruction....my plan is to sell my current home (family issues, forced to sell) and move into one of the units as a primary residence for a year or 2 before leasing it.Question is - What is the order of operation to start the project...   

I own my primary residence here in California that will also be a rental in the future.

I'm pretty conservative with my money, but if I knew I wanted more rentals in the near future, I'd be saving my money for a down payment and looking for the right property.  

I currently work full-time, raising 2 kids with my husband, with the dream that I can quit my job one day and take control of my time and future.

Doesn't align with our values but illustrates that rents have to go up to keep future redevelopment at bay.

An investor is developing a multi million dollar housing project up the road from me.

They charge 8% and I have the option to self manage in the future but I will keep it as is for first year.
