What are the biggest challenges beginners and intermediate investors have faced buying a house at the auction whether on line, sheriff sale or FDIC etc?.

It will either hit the mls or one of the auction sites when the Bsnk is ready to sell. 

I agree this market is cutthroat, I am always looking at REO and lately people have been stealing the keys out of lockboxes and jamming the locks, and the auctions get bid up closer and closer to ARV. 

I’m interested in a property listed as pre foreclosure/auction in Allegheny county.

We bought the house at auction about a year ago.

Why is it when buying a house from the tax sale, Approximately 2-3weeks until afta auction is ONLY when I get possession?

There is an auction soon and was looking at a property and was wondering how to read a title report and figure out what liens would be taken off at the time of sale.

So I guess she didn't appreciate it, but the 30 something buyers certainly did.Did all the work ourselves so costs were just time & whatever deals we got at the contractor auctions or Lowes.

I plan to purchase some of the homes from Sheriffs Auctions so having the ability to finance these properties knowing I will be at or below 80% with no money down would be ideal. 

Turns out there was an auction the beginning of May and it didn't sell, now the issue is I'm having trouble finding any other information like who's in control of the property and therefore cannot contact anyone about said property.
