If it's the opposite and you budgets 5k but it comes back 10k, use the same process, but if the TOTAL cost is acceptable I wouldn't argue that line becasue you may be getting discount in over items to make up for it... and since total price is acceptable it doesn't really fix anything, just makes more work.
