Also, you need to look into the terms related to the dog (pet rent, non-refundable "deposit", etc.).This is not to say that you might not have a valid claim, just pointing out all the weaknesses in the file.Overall, report it to credit bureau and forget about it.

I have had tenants tell me I could not discriminate against smokers, had no right to verify employment, no right to look at credit scores, no right to restrict countless things but most often it is pets, no right to do inspections even though it is clearly spelled out in the lease agreement that they signed.
