There will no doubt be a lot of properties that will be repurposed .One example is a mall here in Los Angeles that was there for decades and now it’s going to be converted to creative office space .I believe with the lack of housing in Los Angeles a lot of outdated commercial will be converted to housing .

@ Nick Brosco, like Kevin Romines said, it sounds like a misinformed loan officer, or possibly that that particular lender has more restrictive rules that they impose on top of Fannie/Freddie guidelines.
