I see that your in Tustin, so I'm sure we're pretty close since I'm in Irvine.

People lost "a couple shingles" and lawyered-up to fight their insurance companies, and wound up with an entirely new roof.

Then they can fight about it, in court if necessary.

I agree with people in saying invest where the jobs are as people don’t want to drive an hour to work and fight traffic if they can help it.

Many Associations or Condo's do not permit individual owners to undertake these efforts themselves and instead retain counsel on behalf of the building/subdivision at large to fight these ever increasing liabilities.If and when you decide to invest in Illinois, I would suggest reaching out to a local lawyer who handles these matters to determine if relief is possible.  

This is typical for any disruptive industry - think Uber and how they had to fight city by city. 

Know how to fight people that are intruders. 

It would probably cost more to you to fight it than just eat the loss?  

At one point I almost got in a fight with a guy who was ragging on me for no reason.
