I would think you could get it at $1/ft there, but I wouldn't mind paying a few cents more per foot for someone good.As J Scott points out, the rolled laminate is much less to purchase, and much easier to install (so very cheap overall). some of the newer ones look good too, but can't attest to their durability..

It's definitely easier to work with the seller directly, however in cases where the leads come in through a realtor, I wasn't sure if we could assign the contract at all.

I am going to kind of disagree with what is being said hereIf I were you I wouldn't even consider getting a real estate license because having a real estate license doesn't make getting real estate deal any easier, it will cost you money and your liability goes way up compared to being a regular investor.You don't need to learn anything more!
