Of course, it could be that the lender is so swamped with loans in varying stages of approval that it takes the underwriter eight days to get through the existing workload before taking on a new loan package.

From the current recorded owner back to the bank, the property may have changed hands anywhere from 1 to 4 times.From the bank to an LLC or LLP (who knows how many times the property changed hands here), then to a private investor or a private individual.What I am wondering is by the time I get a chance to make an offer on this property, I am not sure who the true owner/seller is, so how would I go about doing that?
