I've been doing the DIY landlord in the trenches successfully for a little while now and people still can't help chiming in with their little opinion or sharing some hear-say LL horror story.  

The diy rehab took waaaay longer than it should have, but that said, I've now had it nearly a year, and its vacant.

you can DIY this area sure, and you should try. 

They will never spend the money on a gas plumber and DIY.

There are a lot of other landlords in court, a few PMs there on behalf of landlords, and only a small percentage of lawyers/paralegals so it seems many people do DIY evictions here.

I am no stranger to hard work and have actually done quite a few DIY projects on existing investment property and to be honest do not mind properties that require just a little more love to get them up and running again.  

Attempting to find that blend of DIY vs just hiring to avoid headaches.

I love doing DIY projects, especially home automation.
