And I see lots of random dates booked on the calendar so if I'm a travel pro with a 13 week contract I need to look clear out into September before I can find 30 straight days open.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE talk to YOUR real estate attorney, not a random person on a forum (I guess I am including myself, but listen to me about contacting your real estate attorney..lol). 

It happens randomly here and there..like @Steve Vaughan said, most of the time you're glad their gone.

Let me explain with a random example.

@Vaughan Moodyin my opinion, it's better to invest in a market in which you have some kind of advantage (you have family there, you went to school there, you live there, you used to live there, you travel there often for work, etc.) rather than trying to pick a random market solely on 'metrics.'

Random thought: it's amazing how cheap it is to fly round-trip to KC from L.A. - if the ticket is bought in advance I've seen as cheap as $113!
