La Jolla is the safer bet for your investment approach I think.

If the properties on 3 different parcels, and you use conventional financing, I bet they make you use 3 different loan spots. 

I know others who have gone into their branch as they need to pay bills and don't have internet. 

I'm in San Diego and would love to invest locally to be more involved in the deal, but not sure if I'm up to bet 600K+ on my first deal, rather than something out of state for a fraction of the cost, lol.

Finding information on internet is great.

Residents without internet access or a smart phone can get program and application information by calling 3-1-1.

If you can find a place with a suite or duplex, that is your best bet for getting starting. 

The point of making money at the end is to have consumption of things you want, now that might be food, gas money, your internet bill, and yes your housing.
