Right now retail is largely looking pretty solid in a lot of markets, but make sure you do some serious homework about the property's area and the wider market.

We haven’t received a new appraisal with the updated renovations, but we’re estimating a solid chunk of equity has been added.

I have one rental property in Kent, WA where I have a property managing company doing the heavy lifting for me.

Their response:  “What questions?”  

I sent another mailer out 6 months later and received 1 response that did not turn into anything. 

In some states they are preferred if borrower goes into default, but many states are now catching up and passing laws that you have to foreclose on them which makes them worse than a mortgage because you have to foreclose but also it may take longer and you are also responsible for liens/violations on the property.
