To be able to secure more bookings when you aren't staying there,  I would caution against buying a place that is too far north along the east shore, many guests here like to be close to the action (Heavenly,  Casinos, the city of south lake)

There are people that enjoy working on their properties and are better suited for self managing and should be self managing.I would say to get a manger if you are purely doing it for the cost savings and find additional investments.A part time employee could be a good solution since you know your properties.

I can honestly say I enjoy my job and don't plan on leaving it in the near future so this will be a side/retirement income generator for the time being but I'm all about opportunity so if I end up having a knack for this I can definitely see pursuing it more aggressively.I guess I'm reaching out to try and get in touch with investors in my area.
