My wife and I will be moving back home to Dallas soon and are wanting to finance (VA/FHA) a multi-family building to live in/rent out add'l units.Any tips on finding a good multi-family property in Dallas?

Is it a carriage house as opposed to a garage, and/or is there enough room to incorporate another structure on site, namely, a 3-4 car 'modern' monstrosity?

I know what real estate is otherwise I wouldn't be on this site, I'm happily with someone and we plan to get married, I just wanted to give a bit of relief in such a professional  environment but I'll think twice next time.

Also , as you learn you can get accurate sold prices from your local property appraisers site and realtor .com

It would be hard for a tenant to argue they never got it considering they are on the site periodically to make payments.

To Russell you are right the information is online and I have used the site to search for owners etc.What I am wondering is if anyone has gone to the recorder of deeds and were able to search based on a select criteria.
