Hi I am having trouble breaking though to the next level (and trying to not become discouraged). 

Don't get me wrong, I do trust my lender but I just wanted to bounce the idea off of some additional folks to gain perspective. 

As soon as he started talking I could tell he was on a different level.

I've struggled to obtain similar titles in my industry because I hadn't led people since I began working in the industry despite getting into the executive level.

If you were in their shoes, you would be trusting the past landlord's reference and wouldn't want to end up with a bad tenant. 

A lot of them were closing on the inventory and doing light fix up to then resell.Most if not all at that level were licensed brokers in their states. 

Less than 6 units you can probably do all of that with your homeowner's insurance agent.Since you are blessed to be in Illinois take advantage of the Illinois Land Trust when acquiring properties.

@timothy doenges I haven't thought of the home Depot tactic but have asked a few and usually get the "I've hired everyone I trust" I'll give the other way a shot.

But point is that banks are completely OK with this as this is a common practice with estate planning - moving assets into trust that is LLC.
