There are many books on that subject but I would like to know if anyone has read a few, and would recommend one or two.I'm looking for a book that offers proven best practices/recommendations for setting up LLC's, land trusts, and/or S corps, etc. for properties and companies owned by a real estate investor.Any recommendations would be much appreciated!

I am coming across conflicting articles (http://speakingofrealestate.blogs.realtor.org/2011/09/07/fraud-are-your-clients-using-reverse-staging/) and past posts; some adamantly say it is illegal, some say they are submitting a contract in an LLC or Trust and then assigning the next day (wholesaling the short) and that this is legal.Any insight is much appreciated, from either side, backed up with reasoning.

I'm buying (buy and hold) a property through my LLC and using funds borrowed from my brother to help with repairs (will have a traditional first mortgage as well).Is it possible to setup the borrowed funds from my brother similar to a 2nd mortgage and also give him a % of the future sales price in the promissory note, even though he's not a member of the LLC?
