My question is, would the city assessor's online database not change the owner of the property even if it is forfeited, or is it more likely the person still owns the property for some reason?

Hi,This is sort of a unique question that I've been struggling to find guidance to online.  

I heard about Bigger Pockets while watching an online video about getting started in real estate and that this was the "go to" site for people in the industry.  

There are also lenders out there who may give unsecured or secured lines or credit or loans for rehab.

It wasn't a line of credit or anything like that, he called it bridging equity and as I pay down the loan (he said in about a year) they would release that equity and I would be able to use it again.

I've heard it takes 4 months for a house to go from pre foreclosure to foreclosure, but i've seen houses online that have been in pre foreclosure since Oct of last year.
