If they acknowledged you had a verbal agreement before, just have them tell the tenants they made a mistake and sign a new lease with you as the landlord, same terms.

Also language in there that if you have a new realtor that 90 days is not valid.Follow your contracts is what I would say.

I'm not new to being a landlord in Florida, but am newer (1 year) to being one in Detroit.

I have an opportunity to construct a mixed-use building with 42 residential units (each around 600 sq. ft. with 1+ bedrooms) and 2 commercial spaces, totaling approximately 42,000 sq. ft.We have a solid understanding of constructing smaller projects, such as 2-4 unit buildings, but this larger scale is new to us.

Economy booms, median incomes rocket to the moon, rents and property prices go UP, because of new affordability basis. 

Now, while searching for new insurance through a broker, I'm being told that my building now requires a "Central Station Fire Alarm that reports to a Central Reporting Station".Is this new requirement normal?
