Especially with it being refundable, coming from a lender's perspective, there are a lot of requests for folks on that end that don't end up panning out so getting a little 'skin in the game' early might be a way that they use to mitigate that a little bit.That being said, most groups do not do that and I know that I usually send them out pretty willingly.

@Evan Holly I’m a broker lender and recently ran through a scenario with a client who wanted a VA loan first and seller financed second and the underwriters were fine with the seller financed second as long as the borrower had the skin in the game normally required of the loan program (in that case nothing).
