It’s sad that these measures have to be taken with professionals.

The sad reality is that he does need a place to live and so does his wife and children.

I agree with you and the sad part is that we never know which Unless you pay that amount of money if that’s going to be a good or bad experience.

IMHO.This is really sad.

Sad, but true, and sorry for the PMs out there who actually do improve an owner's profits - you are rare, in my experience, as both someone who has hired one, to being the mother of a daughter who was royally ripped off by one, to being a friend of someone royally ripped off by one....and as a former on-site manager and self-managing rental owner who knows what it takes to manage a property well. 

I have the cash to pay this home off (sadly..... should put it to better use, but knew this expense would come up).

Sadly the property owner cannot make the tenants pay their bills to the utility companies in a manner that would have solved this problem quicker.I believe that legally The property owner would be found liable.

This is very common to OOS investors in expensive markets sadly .

It’s a little sad and I feel for people in that situation.
