What worked best for me was getting out of the office, driving around my town (picked up a map from the Visitor's Center, and marked off streets as I went down them), looking for run-down properties, calling listing agent's on signs, and quite honestly just going out making some noise.

But I get most of my complaints from the 2 families too-noise, parking, kids did this, basement storage etc.I'm not sure about the tax rates.

It's called the loss of the "earnest money deposit".There is SO MUCH MISINFORMATION on BP and other REI sites about this, and that misinformation is often being spread by people who do not LIKE "wholesaling" so they have an axe to grind....

There is a reason builders have things called lot premiums called view premiums.Next would be the more typical backing to another properties back yard.The remaining two of backing to a street would generally be the least desirable based on noise and view being a problem.
