When the market crashed and folks were losing their jobs, I'm guessing some of the renters weren't able to make payments because of the layoffs. 

It's old news (more applicable during the crash years).

I've been in the biz since 2002 and pretty much predicted it all easily 1 year before the last crash, love to hear others thoughts on what we may see.

Additionally, they're all owned by investors, so you're less likely to find a seller who is willing to part with it below market and not have it listed publicly.I'll end by saying this; Since I first discovered Bigger Pockets many years ago, people have been posting that the next market crash was going to happen and that they were hoarding cash so they could pick up sweet deals afterward.

He bought it right before the crash in 2008 for 28k and put 20k+ in rehabbing it.

Then the housing market crashes and the house is now worth 70K or even 60K.  

I'm currently crashing with a friend until I figure out my next move!

You don't - it could all come crashing down tomorrow, or it could grow at the rate we are at for the foreseeable future.  

Louis and am finally recovered from the '07 crash. 

I've made $$ in Detroit and I've also followed PR for several years hoping for a crash.
