Does anyone have any experience owning/operating a short term rental in Blue Ridge (or surrounding areas)?

I also have a method of analyzing locations to find out how in-demand properties are there compared to surrounding areas.

Surrounded by schools, close to hospitals and freeways. 

"Buildable infill lots," would that include lots surrounding a golf course?

Here is my situation:- I'm a W2 employee that earns north of $500k a year- My wife is a stay-at-home-spouse- I'm looking to buy ~ $1,000,000 in STR Real Estate by the end of the year (as an investment and to offset my tax bill)I'm fairly well versed in the rules surrounding using STR to offset active income.

I would recommend reaching out to builders in Brazos county and the surrounding counties and offer to work under them free of charge.

This is part of the reason that we (our clients) have few properties well south of HWY 160.Infrastructure will be a long term issue.

I'm not sure we do, other than continue to invest in infrastructure, fix Social Security (principally by removing the cap), and don't renew tax cuts that were stupid to begin with.
