Back in the 1970s when I first entered the real estate profession (my fellow bankers were shocked that I left international banking to work as a COMMISSIONED commercial real estate salesperson!)

Section 8 rentals are a huge opportunity in the area, and medical students/employees at the nearby hospitals are a great pool of potential tenants as well.

"Going to a classroom won't change anything unless the student takes ownership of their learning experience" would be something one of my professors would say and he encouraged us to be lifelong learners emphasizing the idea to continue reading books after college was over for us.

But I do have it listed on MLS for LTR, I’d much rather a short term guest though - since I’m so close to college and university hospital, I’d hope for students or traveling medical professionals. 

We are considering, if successful, purchasing an additional property/rental for grad students (hopefully less wear and tear) and what seems like a consistent rental market.

Student loan payments: 1,457/month. 

If your son is a student does he get a discount through the school?   

Columbus is also home to OSU, which constantly develops real estate, employs lots of jobs, and attracts students from the US and internationally to attend.
