Confirm with the vendor how often they are doing updates and improvements to their software, you want to get an idea of the roadmap and release schedule.Will you be using out of country investors, are you a Canadian and operating in the US or vice / versa?

Or is it somewhere in between whereby there are prepared questions, but they serve as a loose guide and roadmap but you let yourselves diverge from it? 

Hey BPI'm in the early education/planning phase of my REI journey, laying out a road map to financial freedom, and I'd really like your input.I am leaning heavily toward a focus on multi-family rentals and want to see what you think about the 10-year plan outlined below.Here are the assumptions:The goal is to have a passive income of $150K/year by 2026.I'm assuming $150 of cash flow/unit/month after the 50% Rule (e.g. $1200 rent / 2 = $600 - $450 expenses = $150)I've got $40K available for downpayments this year.

This is not a bargain, this is not a discount where you can save up to 20% off, this is not a sample of the latest information, but a roadmap to wealth that is shaking up the financial world.

If I were to start over, I would pretty much stick to the same road map. 

Ultimately, you're going to have to plan out your life interests vs the money it takes to fulfill those interests and devise a roadmap to generate income with the money you have while you do the things you plan to do from here on out.

It feels like a product that had features added for years with no real roadmap to make it cohesive. 

And it lays out a good road map to any deferred maintenance we can expect over the next several years.
