Raleigh specifically has introduced “Fast-Track Plans” designed to streamline permitting to build ADUs faster and more cost-effectively.

Just plan for reserves if it takes a year or two to break even.Take your time, do the research, and trust the process.

That being said, I will preface this with the fact that I have a legal background, specifically with estate planning and asset protection as it relates to real estate.

In the future, I plan to have more rentals but more interested in out-of-state investing than in state so I currently only have the one rental.
