I found a property listed on realtor.ca that has duplex conversion potential, near downtown, however it is a fixer upper (new flooring, painting, wiring) and is in a neighbourhood with 57% renters according to realtor.ca's 'Statistics'.

I just read an interesting article about home flipping statistics: https://nationalmortgageprofes...It seems that the rate of home flips as a percentage of all home sales, as well as the profit margin for flips, have both have decreased in Q1 this year, with the exception of a few metro areas.

There's an actual real estate college degree; and within the MBA program there's a real estate concentration.Subjects that could certainly fuel an investor's rise to empire besides just accounting and business could be architecture (evaluating structures), psychology (negotiation), economics (noticing trends in a market), statistics (various areas of investing), and there are probably more that aren't popping into my head at the moment.
