(c) Do any of you have some specific market considerations I should take into account OR that I should be researching (high taxes, pertinent rent laws, etc.)?

Hey BiggerPockets community, Im a beginner wholesale real estate agent based in North Carolina, and I'm excited to dive into this game!

What method of investing are you going to look into? 

The last point that I would make is you need to get into 3-4 pillars of the business that you will have for the long haul of real estate.

I have some crypto gains I’m really looking forward to dumping into a more stable asset class and hoping this can help me defer the taxes on the growth.  

Talking to others also gave me insight into different markets and strategies, which made it easier to figure out where I wanted to focus my efforts.A simple tip I’d give is to start small and grow gradually.

If you can't figure out how to escape that entry-level job and get into something that pays better, then I would argue you probably don't have the skills necessary to invest in real estate and manage it well.Focus on finding a job you can be proud of and that pays well.

Yes, it would be unwise to put this into an index fund like that.
