The big benefit I have in my handyman portfolio is that I am either laying the tile or closely supervising the job as it's done by people whom I've personally trained.That's part of how I've come into this business, as a handyman investor with quite a bit of prior experience in laying tile.My portfolio is also almost completely occupied by health care professionals, who in general are trained to appreciate the advantages of ceramic tile as a sanitary surface.

Or, hey, if they want to keep you on 1099, then you need a 30% pay raise relative to what you'd be getting for similar work/experience/etc as W2 since you need to fund you rown retirement/healthcare/etc/etc.

@Brian BuchananShop private Brokers who specialize in health insurance for businesses to get accurate quotes in your area.If you have a stack of cash you can do a HSA and high deductible plan which is pretty appealing if you are healthy.Lastly—if you are making good money with employer healthcare you can work for one more year (through 2021 or start now) and run your income down by maxing out on workplace retirement plans.
