The reality is the opposite - if it's not in writing then the PMC doesn't have to provide the service or can charge extra for it!

You can probably secure the hard money with less than a 25% down payment, and then if things go right - 0 out of pocket on the refinance, but you will still need at least some "skin in the game" regarding a little equity/down payment to start.Sharing this article published here on BP last year on this topic - hope it can help too!

I will add that this is a process that has many rules that are required to be followed and there are serious financial penalties if you make a mistake. do your research and learn all you can and/or find a custodian who provides education as well as an ERISA attorney who can advise you. 

Landlords must provide 30-days notice if the rent increase is less than 10%. 

They have to provide these docs to you as a future homeowner.

They provide the bulk of my income. 

If possible I use that same section to refute the requirement...or provide an alternate path to approval. 

To answer your original question about making it more palatable for owners....you need to pay them for the service of providing you with debt.
