So, with my passion lying in real estate and home building, particularly in Bryan/College Station, I had only one choice to make the dream work: Jumping both feet in as a RE Agent. 

Also landlord station is good .

Plus the property is located in lower income area but it right across from the police station.

@Richard Harrington Personally I would rent it.My husband is active duty military and we have done very well buying houses at his duty stations and renting them out when we leave.

I was stationed in Gulfport as a Seabee.

We continue to buy houses in Florida, where we are stationed now. 

You have the money to buy some farm land out in that direction and ten years from now the highway goes through and you make a housing development or own the four corners where the gas station and pharmacy or shopping center will be built.

When we turn on radio and TV, we get their stations and news, we share the Lake (we can see Chicago from the beach in Gary), similar weather, etc.

I am stationed/live in SD and currently exploring all my options for getting into a local multi family property.
