That portion you would be responsible for going forward.Here taxes are billed in November so if I bought a property in August 2016, at closing the sellers (if they were not on a payment cycle and paid in full on nov-2015 for the coming year) would get August 2016 to November 2016 back.

Also, when the market peaked prior to 2008, many of my millionaire friends sold their homes in San Francisco and invested this money in Dallas to generate high returns. (2) Not the right time to buy / Market Cycle reasons.

So far I've:Bought a deal from a BP member that will make over $100K net profit Raised over $1 million for Multifamily syndications and two single family funds from BP members, most of whom you've never seen post on the site.Raised a lot of money for loans against property...I've lost count because the loans cycle and repeat as properties sell and new ones are bought.Got a lot of offline help developing a direct marketing campaign from two BP membersHave a potential Multifamily partnership brewingHave made a few friends that I would never have met if it weren't for BPAm developing some lifetime relationships that can one day propel my business to a level I would never have thought possible.Yes BP works, as others have said...but it doesn't happen automatically, it's up to you.

I learned all of what I know by doing projects and not by working in an office.Hope that helps, just my two cents.Good Luck, you are starting at a great time your life, you have a long time horizon and can take advantage of several RE cycles over your lifetime as well.
