With the highest job and population growth of any city in Ohio, the incredible transformation of areas that 1 or 2 years ago were D- and now B+ its an exciting time to be involved in real estate in Ohio.

People get interested in real estate then realize there is some work involved and life just gets in the way.

if anybody knows people who are involved with buying and selling non performing and performing notes please list there names by replying to my post, thank yousome other strategies that i've came up with to find notes for sale are researching institutional buyers and sellers for mortgages back securities 

I have been involved off and on in the rental business with my dad and grandpa.

The cost per square foot to develop shouldn't change that much from a single family for a duplex... you just have to look at what the cost per square foot is and multiply it by how many square feet you're building. 

Real estate involves leverage which increases risk and is very illiquid.

But happy to hear from the other side.For example, maybe someone who does developments could chime in, but my guess is the numbers on building new affordable housing just aren't compelling, and if policy/markets shift so that it is attractive, you're going to have a lot more BP forum discussions with everyone asking how to get involved (which would be a positive for low income families because supply will go up and rents eventually come down)

My husband and I have a property located in the Fountain Square area of Indianapolis that we are probably going to wholesale.

I know that no matter what our first deal looks like, there will be some kind of rehab involved and I want to learn-by-doing as much as I can.I don't have an abundance of time, as I work full-time as a Product Manager in Technology for Disney...but I have some evenings to spare and most weekends with enough notice.
