Right now I'm doing the cat and mouse dance with her, hoping that after a few days of not discussing it and not "hounding" her to sell, she'll see that getting something is better than getting nothing, which is highly possible if she doesn't make a decision because it's almost 2 years so the foreclosure is going to begin any day now. . .

The mortgage has to paid per the terms of the note regardless whose name it's in, or risk foreclosure.

If you do not know howto do a title search on your own then you must learn how.If you have to foreclose there are certain liens that do not go away with foreclosure, each State is different.I had a situation where a note was for sale and the home owner received medicade payment and went into a nursing home.
