I want to hold on to my condo and use it as my first investment property if possible and potentially purchase a new build home In the town I’ll be relocating to.

Please make sure it was done legitimately where the town or city recognize the property as an actual 2 unit.

For some I was out of town, but there were at least 1 or 2 which could have gone to but just didn't.

The seller was doing sitework without a permit so the town stopped him. 

unless your going to keep the pistol in your hand.But its great your thinking about it.. and its a sad commentary.. and these bad things happen in all areas as we know.. little towns with no crime and big towns with tons of crime.

You'll be buying nothing but headaches, probably a bad HOA with lots of delinquent dues, so they don't keep the property maintained.As far as small cities and towns, I can't speak to that.

With how expensive the Denver market has gotten these past few years, we've started exploring other markets around the country. 

If that doesn't work, Google their name and the city/town that they live in.

At the same time we have those expect a full service, driving around town, hand holding.
