So if the property was meant to be leased on the 1st June, and wasn't re-leased until the 1st July, the original tenant is still liable for 1 month rent.You need to check local laws on this of course.But personally, I would play hard ball on this, especially if you think you won't get a new signing and will miss a month of rent.
