I started down this path and blew it all up after a few years as its way too expensive, way to complex and realistically did zero additional asset protection for me. 

You might also want to explore Rentvine and Buildium, in addition to Appfolio.

There is probably a number you have in your mind that will make this worth it or an amount that is needed to offset the cost of additional resources to continue to support this tenant. 

I use data driven decisions, research from AirDNA, Pricelabs, STR insights, and others.
