Call his agent and go look at  it.Do not get another agent that represents you.Now you have about  $12,000 wiggle room ( 3 percent commission).Don't hesitate to go and look.

I am not a real estate agent, only a wholesaler.

If they are a crime victim they should also go to their local police department's financial crimes unit, contact financial crimes where the fraud is based and call or go into their local FBI office and ask to speak to the duty agent. 

However, I am a licensed agent with the Miami Real Estate Board.

Your home insurance might allow for short term rental use with an endorsement but you'll have to discuss with your agent.
