Just some minor issue with a washing machine hose leaking at our apartments, it caused some minor damage to our laundry room.We had one house that was vacant at the time.

I had to purchase a dishwashing machine that was a fraction of the cost because it was damaged but you couldn't see it since it was a dent that was hidden when you installed it under the countertop.

She doesn't visit the parks or service the machines.  

If I had a time machine I'd absolutely travel back ten years and tell my newlywed self (and bride) to house-hack a quad instead of dumping money into a SFH!

This also extends the life of the carpet since rarely, in my experience, do tenants hire a professional carpet cleaner...opting instead to rent the cheap machine at the grocery store or not do it at all.

You'll be paying that in the form of higher energy prices and higher prices on anything you buy that is made with or transported via fossil fuel powered machines or vehicles (production machines, trucks, trains, airplanes, etc).
