However, if you are in a family business or have some formal partnership with another then really, making them comfortable and ok with what you are doing should come before any other relationships you wish to develop professionally.Your internal team should have the discussion about who you share with, what exactly you share, what is business confidential, what is public information.

I had a 150 house SFR portfolio sent my way from a hedge fund that bought in Portland 5 years ago and the partnership has ripened and they want to sell.. the feedback I got when I shopped it around was the same.. big discounts to account for long term tenants and what its going to take to deal with them..
