Continuing on your path and buying a multi-family unit every six months to a year would get you scaled up pretty quickly in five years.

Yes you want to rent it quickly, but if you have to wait a little longer for a good tenant, it is worth it in the long run.

@Jay Santos While this may be more of a "back to basics" foundation book, I would also recommend Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki (Although you may have already read it, given that you are here on BP). 

Kind of like a HELOC.But my fear is that living in Afghanistan it may be hard to find lenders and close deals quick.
