A lot of the larger markets here in TX (Austin, DFW, Houston) have seen higher prices, but rent increases have been steady.

I have a good rental management company that takes care of a house I have in Houston (Spring, non flood area) that also has their own portfolio.  

I do Houston only because I grew up here and I like the economics of the market.
