So, it might be that a payment was received in 2018 but the borrower's "Paid To" date remains in 2016.There are third party vendors out there that will help with DD.

That part is fairly regularly written about, so I think that is correct.But what I can't seem to grasp is why I would tie up funds in a Solo 401(k) after age 59 1/2 since it is all going to be taxed eventually anyway.

Then go find a third party management company to find tenants and manage more complicated repairs.  42 unit isn’t large enough for 3rd party on site management.
