Account Closed  I think a factor in the future of the market depends on what regulation and additional steps the government takes to save struggling homeowners with their mortgages.

The government could come in tomorrow and make a new regulation that pushes everything back 12 months. 

Because they have a real estate license, they are usually held to a higher standard than a consumer, so they will not be able to claim igorance of real estate laws and regulations.

I'm surprised short-term rental regulations and permitting agencies would even allow such a business model.   

Check the state regulations as dual agency is not legal in most states.

The W/D is located in the bathrooms which will have a continuously operating exhaust fan (required in CA) so that should help regulate temp and humidity. 

Gatineau seems to have a lot of properties up for sale recently and I’m not sure why, I’d ask around about rental laws and regulations as I’m not to familiar.

He said it was miserable but at least he was in a position to ensure that the HOA didn't pass crazy regulations that would negatively impact his investments.My two cents, if it is a condo in a high appreciation area with excellent positive cash flow the reward may be worth the risk.

As you mention, condos can be tricky due to high HOA fees (in some cases) and also due to the condo association rules and regulations.
