I own 2 rental properties, a former primary home of ours, a 3/2.5 in Round Lake, IL and a condo in Oak Park, IL.I say that I'm also from Daytona Beach because my wife and I are thinking about relocating to the Daytona Beach or Jacksonville area.  

One last thing--if you use Country Pine (I always use this one), a lot of oak transition strips will match nicely.

I despise marital (or any other) strife, so it would be worth it to me to continue to chip away at the fear until it's gone.  

Mine is located in the Rolling Oaks subdivision towards the back of the Blvd.  

But we are also content to sit on our hands until we find a deal we like.I would rather go nice and easy and live another day if (when) we make a mistake, than to push all of our chips on the table on every deal we do.Best of luck to you!!!

Samsung's $17 billion semiconductor chip manufacturing plant currently under construction on the south side of Taylor is poised to upend the local economy, being by far the largest anchor employer in the region.

However there are times after you have mapped out a clear plan that you just need to push all your chips in and make it happen my friend!!

Mom + pop investors such as ourselves may on the margin be more inclined to buy something like that to get yield, but I would argue with the 10-year Treasury at 3%, and blue chip stocks like CAT yielding 2.5%, they headaches that come with being a landlord are not worth the extra 100 basis points - anyone who has been around this game long enough would agree with me on that, I hope.This notion of "staying on the sidelines" being looked down upon is also not something I particularly care for...asset valuations (and life in general) is not black and white.

We are  about to close on a house in Royal Oak.

Send out the rent increase notice and let the chips fall.
