If you are considering starting a direct mail campaign in order to find leads and create deals then hopefully this will help you.You need to drive for neighborhoods that you want to buy in and look for properties that will be tough for the owner to sell if they ever need to sell.

It is my understanding that a basic yellow letter stating that I am interested in buying the house gets a higher rate of return on responses but often times is lower quality lead where as a mailer that has more information regarding exactly what we do for people in distressed situations might get less responses but will be a higher quality lead since they know what we have to offer and that we have a general understanding of their situation and still respond anyway.

Which leads me to believe you don't KNOW that this poster is breaking any laws, you just suspect it or have a gut feeling.There's nothing wrong with opinions (trust me, I have more than most)...we just need to keep them separate from the facts to avoid confusing issues...
