Hi all,I'm fairly new to the Milwaukee market and am aiming to buy a duplex but am wondering what to expect for the competitiveness of the market in the trendier Bay View/ Brady st / Shorewood areas?

All I need to do is paint and some minor repairs upstairs , strip out some shelves and odds and ends in the unfinished basement and paint walls ceiling and floor .

@Rush Wall I am definitely interested in joining  the GaREIA as well as the North Metro REIA and North Georgia REIA.

I personally recommend first going for a SFR or duplex to get the basics down and then go from there. 

In 2018 I look to utilize 203k's to purchase duplex, triplex or fourplex fixers and house hack, particularly in the Oakland market. 

Looking for help predicting expenses (like maint/cap, insurance, cleaning, management, etc.) and revenue (I've computed my own rental season curve, but I'd love someone to validate that for me).What I'm looking at is an MLS duplex that *I think* would rent for a total of $4300/wk at peak, at a least price of $519K.Thanks,Chaz
