Is this a permanent or a temporary move?

However i could probably find some temporary housing for a month or two if i really needed.

Since the VA loan interest rate is much higher right now, I would probably just keep my 2.25% and use the ARM to "tie-up" the condo until you can refinance in a much better rate. 2.25 on a 30 year is pretty nice and sounds like you'll preserve much more cash flow by using the temporary ARM to tie up the condo.

It was difficult to let go emotionally as it was a family business but it was the correct choice.
