BTW a month before I started my business, I quit my job completely so that I would not have any choice but to go for it, and dominate.

Once we both agree that I will be your contractor of choice for your project, I charge a percentage up front, i.e.- recent kitchen remodel for a GC I have a relationship with, total contract $4100, mobilization = $500, completion of rough work = $1200, completion of final work = $1200, completion of final inspection = $1200.

I would focus on exterior appearance through siding choice, landscaping, and as everyone else has already mentioned, putting more focus on the entry. $1500 in landscaping would be much more well spent than paying someone to come and frame new openings and drywall/paint work.I will however say that I'm not a huge fan of your choice of colors for the new siding.

:) As a military family who moves every few years, it seems like an perfect choice for us since I love all the renovation projects.

Of course it’s a highly undesirable situation but I was left to make a choice out of a bad scenario.I have been project managing everyday remotely, buying all the materials and having them delivered and trying to monitor the work as closely as possible.

These people have no choice but to continue. 

If selling my house and taking the money from the sale, which would be about 30k after fees and other costs, is the better move then I’ll do just that but I don’t see it being the better choice because that’ll leave me in the same situation but now with a bigger mortgage payment.

If your panel has no spare, the 110v option could be the financially prudent choice.  

I just did Google search for "24 inch wide stainless range" and found a number of other choices.
